Do you really need a wireless headset? What’s the big deal about them anyways. Well let me tell you, after I switched to a wireless headset, I can never go back to anything else.

Wireless headsets got rid of one of the biggest problems I had with my Logitech G230 Headset. The wire of course. It was always getting wrapped up in my chair, I thought the 10ft cord would be great to allow be mobility in my room without having to worry about the dreaded forgotten headset yank. Yeah you know the one, first your walking away and then, bam, headset flying off your head. Instead of the yank I often found myself tethered to my chair as the wire was wound up in the wheels and arm rest.

Your ears will thank you, but your wallet won’t. Going for wireless does have a price jump, personally, the convenience was well worth it for me. I should’ve gotten wireless way before I finally did. What held me back was that I’d have to spend over $100 more, on the quality wireless set I picked out, then what I spent on my first pair.

The improvement was noticed immediately. No longer did I have to deal with wires wrapped up in the chair rollers, arm rests, my own arms. Instead I could focus on the game, I could quickly leave and grab a drink, and I know longer had to deal with a static sounding connections because of a bad wire somewhere along the line. Overall I strongly recommend that anyone in the market for headsets, at least consider the options for wireless headsets
